Whiskey Barrel Head Chessboard Set | Handcrafted Reclaimed Bourbon Barrel Chess Set

Details from the maker

Every whiskey barrel has a history, and this chessboard lets that story live on across every square. The Whiskey Barrel Head Chessboard Set transforms an authentic reclaimed whiskey barrel head into a full chessboard surface, blending timeless strategy with warm, rustic character you'll want to leave out for everyone to admire.

No two boards are ever alike. Each one showcases the natural grain, weathered patina, and original barrel markings created while aging bourbon and whiskey, so your set is truly one-of-a-kind. That authentic barrel character is the heart of the piece — you're not just getting a game, you're bringing home a little slice of cooperage heritage.

The set arrives complete with a full collection of Staunton-style wooden chess pieces featuring a substantial 3.15" king. The warm tones of the wood pieces complement the aged character of the barrel head beautifully, creating a cohesive, elevated look that feels right at home in a game room, home bar, cabin, or tasting room. When the game's over, tuck the pieces into the included storage bag and keep everything together for next time.

At a generous 21" x 21" x 1.5", this set makes a bold visual statement whether it's mid-match or simply on display as a conversation-starting centerpiece. Family-crafted in the USA by three generations of makers, it's a heartfelt tribute to tradition, craftsmanship, and the barrels that make Kentucky proud. Whether you're shopping for a chess lover, a bourbon enthusiast, or someone who appreciates handcrafted décor with soul, this set delivers on every front!
